NATS – Air traffic controllers preparing for busy days

Air traffic controllers at NATS prepared for what was expected to be the busiest day of the year as millions of holidaymakers begin their summer getaway.

With many schools across England breaking up for the summer holidays, air traffic controllers across the UK prepared to handle over 8,000 flights.

Although #FlyFriday didn’t quite top 8,000 flights, at 7,940 flights were 3.5% up on the equivalent day in 2014.
