Jat Airways relaunched as Air Serbia

Air Serbia, the Balkan country’s new flag carrier commenced operations on 26 October 2013 and is based at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport.

On 1 August 2013, the Government of Serbia and Etihad Airways entered into an agreement which saw the operations of Jat Airways reorganized and rebranded into Air Serbia.

Etihad Airways acquired 49 per cent of Air Serbia and was awarded a five-year management contract marking the end of 66 years of the JAT brand.
