Central Security at Schiphol: how does it work?

Starting 3 June 2015, security checks for passengers and their hand baggage will no longer be carried out at the gates, but at central locations throughout the terminal.

In Departure Halls 2 and 3, central security locations have been constructed for departing passengers.

They are also referred to as ‘security filters’ and are located beyond the check-in desks.

Security filters have also been built between the E and the F Piers and at the G and the H Piers for passengers who are transferring at Schiphol and are required to pass through security control again.
