Embraer E2 Maximum Braking Energy

Braking Energy Test Paves the Way for Certification.

Certification of the Embraer E190-E2 is within sight now that this critical test – and one of the last – has been completed.

The test measures the ability of the aircraft’s brakes to absorb the kinetic energy produced from stopping after a rejected takeoff at maximum weight and speed.

The E2’s brakes easily handled the stress. The results confirmed the aircraft’s robust design and excellent performance.
