Heathrow Celebrates its 70th Birthday

On the 31st May, Heathrow celebrated it’s 70th birthday.

To mark the occasion, Joanna Lumley revealed the the final in a series of 70 unique plaques, which are on show around the airport.

Each plaque represents some of Britain’s most memorable moments which occurred at Heathrow, from the Beatles return to the UK as global superstars in 1964 to thousands of screaming fans, to the England rugby team’s arrival back onto their home turf as World Champions in 2003.
