British Airways i360 Pod Build Time-lapse

Opening this summer, British Airways i360 will be the world’s tallest moving observation tower and the world’s first vertical cable car.

This video shows the construction team attaching the pod segments to the 162 metre tower, forming a breath-taking futuristic glass viewing pod which can hold up to 200 people at a time!

At 4.7 metres high and 18 metres wide, the pod will gently glide up to 450 feet, offering a gradually unfolding view of the fun loving city of Brighton & Hove, the English Channel and 26 miles of Sussex coastal landscape.

The next key project milestone will be when the team runs test flights for the pod in spring.

Brighton is less than one hour by train from London and only 24 minutes from London Gatwick Airport.
