Last Air Berlin Airbus A330 Departure

Last Sunday we witnessed the last Air Berlin Airbus A330 departure with passengers to Fort Meyers.

Usually the airport welcomes new airlines with a water canon salute by the fire brigade. This time the fire brigade used the water canon to say goodbye to an airline which was based at the airport for decades.

It was quite a sad day and lots of employees were observing the last water canon salute on the apron. Three marshallers escorted the Airbus A330 on its last way to the active runway.
